“Acquired as a project in 2020 by its previous owner, this 1978 Silver Shadow II was destined for great things as a wedding carriage, but didn’t quite make it. Disappointing, as the car is trimmed in rare fabric, rather than the more traditional leather, making the seats cool in summer and warm in winter. Requiring a complete brake overhaul, potential restoration costs spiralled and with a number of major mechanical issues, it was sidelined as other projects took priority. Recently unearthed, it had deteriorated further and a decision was made to abandon future plans.
