We are constantly sourcing vehicles for dismantling, which has allowed us to build up a vast stock of used parts for every Rolls-Royce and Bentley motor car from 1945 to the present day.
These cars often provide an invaluable way of keeping a vehicle on the road when new parts are unavailable, no longer in production or are prohibitively expensive. You’ll find details below of vehicles that are currently in our workshops for "parting out".

Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit : FSD-343

"A 1983 Silver Spirit which was purchased as a restoration project by the previous owner. However, as is often the case, the amount of work required, together with the substantial financial outlay, eventually dissuaded him from continuing. A long delay while considering the way forward has lead to further deterioration, rendering the car completely beyond repair, so it will be recycled in the near future."
Bentley S2 : FSD-342

"Restoration of this 1959 S2 was originally well underway, but unfortunately, the owner had other commitments leaving him with no time to finish the project. Located in Maine, USA, the car was shipped over to the UK at the end of 2016, docking on the east coast on Christmas day. The car arrived largely complete, but with some sections, including the engine, in component form. Currently being assessed, interest has already been expressed in the well restored interior of the car, so that could well seal its fate."
Bentley Turbo R : FSD-341

"This early example of the fuel injected Turbo R was first registered in 1987. Initially offered to us back in the summer of 2016, we eventually acquired it in December. Another case of a car left standing, unused, for a long period. Ravaged by the elements, the body is now in very poor condition and extensive mechanical work is also required, making the car way beyond economical repair. Now awaiting recycling."
Rolls-Royce Silver Spur : FSD-339

"This example began life as a Silver Spur, and then the previous custodian decided to convert it to a pick-up truck. Didn’t get very far though. Looking at the less than straight cut across the roof, it might have helped if his saw had been a little sharper. Add to that some angle iron, randomly welded to the ‘load area’ and you can see that the project was not particularly well considered. Similar conversions have been carried out more successfully in the past, but we feel that this attempt will be consigned to our recyclers."
Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II : FSD-337

"First registered in 1979, this Silver Shadow II was originally purchased as a project by the previous owner. However, the amount of rectification required caused them rather more than a little concern and they decided to abandon their plans. In need of paintwork and mechanical work, it could possibly be rescued by a very dedicated enthusiast, but will more likely be recycled."
Bentley Eight : FSD-336

"This early injected ‘Eight’ was originally offered for sale privately by its owner. However, when test driven by a prospective purchaser, the engine started making a strange noise, so he walked away. Finished in the ever popular colour combination of Dark Blue and Magnolia, it was our intention to repair the car and return it to the road. However, our mechanics described the engine noise sounding as if one or more baked bean cans were on the loose inside it, so it was declared terminal. Replacing the engine would not make financial sense, so the car will be recycled."
Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith II : FSD-334

"Dating from 1978, this Silver Wraith II came to us via one of our trade customers. Although quite rare, compared to the standard Shadow II, these cars still suffer from lack of use in exactly the same way. Reluctant to start, and suffering serious corrosion problems, this is another car that would take an enormous amount of effort, and money, to return to the road. It is pretty inevitable that it will be recycled."
Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow : FSD-333

"This is a 1967 Silver Shadow featuring the early ‘Chippendale’ dashboard. These cars are becoming quite collectible, but this one, although in semi-regular use has suffered from the usual problems. Following a gear actuator problem, the usual access panel has been rather brutally enlarged, and a non-standard metal pole attached, to aid gear selection. Could possibly be saved by a very ambitious enthusiast, but more likely to be recycled."
Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit : FSD-328

"This is a very early Silver Spirit, first registered in 1981. Following a number of years in the wedding business, the car was virtually abandoned, before being rescued for potential restoration. The new owner ‘invested’ time and money but the project proved to be rather daunting, so it was decided to abandon the car, yet again, and move on to something more worthwhile. It will consequently be recycled to provide a range of parts for sale and reconditioning."
Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow : FSD-322

"Another car that has been left exposed to the elements for a number of years, this flared arch model dates from 1975. The condition is best described as poor, both bodily and mechanically, with an unusual amount of rust present on both front and rear bumpers. Parts from this car will be reconditioned, where possible, and others cleaned and offered to more deserving causes."
Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II : FSD-319

"This 1979 Silver Shadow II has spent a few years in the Republic of Ireland, initially in regular use but then somewhat neglected, leading to its current state. Generally tired, and in need of mechanical overhaul, the car would be uneconomical to restore, so will be recycled by our experienced team."
Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II : FSD-309

"A late model Silver Shadow II, registered in 1980, this was a well maintained example, prior to a rear end accident which has unfortunately rendered it uneconomical to repair. It is now destined for our recycling department to provide components for other examples, along with core units for reconditioning."
Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow : FSD-308

"Dating from June 1974, this car was with its former keeper for some 11 years, performing wedding car duties for much of this time. Unusually, the car was painted white from new, not resprayed later in life as is the case with many cars used for this purpose. Well maintained, time has now taken its toll on the bodywork, and the car is in need of mechanical attention also. A final decision is yet to be made, but the recycling team are looking at it with anticipation."
Bentley Turbo R : FSD-304

"First registered in 1988, restoration had begun on this early injected Turbo R, but following a change of circumstance, the work was not completed. Another case where it would prove uneconomical to continue, the car will be recycled to provide parts and core units for reconditioning."
Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit : FSD-299

"This 1983 Silver Spirit has been in regular use until quite recently. However, extensive expenditure was required last year, and as MOT time approaches again, another large bill was predicted, so the owner decided it was time to move it on. At first glance, it does look quite presentable but on closer inspection, it has obviously had water leaking into it for some time which has resulted in a most unpleasant interior. Taking into account a number of mechanical issues, the car is now well beyond economical repair and will be heading to our recycling department."
Bentley T1 : FSD-298

"This 1975 T1 is quite a rare car but has suffered through years of inactivity. Purchased by thr previous owner around 10 years ago, he intended to restore it and add it to his collection of Classics. At some point, it was vandalised and is now very possibly beyond restoration. It is currently awaiting full assessment before the final decision is made."
Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit : FSD-290

"Standing unused for many years, this Spirit has many mechanical faults and growing corrosion. A restoration would prove uneconomical, so the car will be recycled."
Bentley Turbo R : FSD-287

"A Bentley Turbo R, first registered in 1990. Sitting very low at the back, the rear spring pans were thought to be rotten but on further investigation, we discovered that the original road springs and height control system had been removed, and replaced by a pair of unusual ‘air-bags’ that require manual inflation using a garage air-line. We sometimes think that we have seen everything here at Flying Spares, and then something else comes along to prove us wrong. Replacing the rear suspension would not be financially viable so this car will be recycled in the near future."
Bentley Eight : FSD-285

"This Bentley Eight was first registered in 1990. Another car that has not been used recently, it does have the benefit of an MOT certificate, valid until July 2016. Corrosion is starting in the usual places, it has 161,000 miles recorded, but it may be possible for a dedicated enthusiast to return it to the road."
Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow : FSD-280

"Built in 1972, this Silver Shadow was originally used abroad before returning to the UK in 1978, hence the ‘S’ registration. Acquired earlier this year by its former keeper, the car did not live up to expectations, and he decided not to keep it. There are a number of mechanical issues and the car is currently awaiting a full inspection in our workshop. It has the benefit of a current MOT, valid until February 2016."
Bentley Brooklands : FSD-252

"Having spent most of it’s life in London, this car relocated to Cornwall around three years ago. Unfortunately, it remained unused for most of those years and therefore requires a degree of recommissioning. The Cornish air has resulted in some corrosion to the bodywork and, having been assessed mechanically, the car is now more suitable for recycling, than restoration."
Bentley Turbo R : FSD-232

"A plaque attached to the glovebox lid states that this car was built specifically for display at the 1988 British International Motor Show at the NEC. It has been particularly well looked after but has unfortunately suffered accident damage to both front and rear, resulting in too much damage for an economical repair to be effected. It does contain some excellent undamaged parts including the 17” wheels and a well preserved interior."
Bentley Mulsanne Turbo : FSD-227

"An early Bentley Mulsanne Turbo, first registered in 1983, this is another car that has been standing for around 18 months. The car has a large history file and has been used occasionally for weddings. Currently awaiting inspection in our workshops, it could prove to be restoration project, although a substantial amount of work would be required and it may therefore prove uneconomical."
