Question: Fan control unit has apparently failed on a 2016 Spur - 20K miles. (Symptom is fan running on loudly for 20 to 30 mins after a journey). Diagnosis by reversing radiator fan and aircon fan connections - problem flipped. Is a new controller and fan unit required? Likely cost? Thanks

Answer: It sounds like a possible wiring problem, however if the car is in a hot country then the fan will run for as long as it needs to until the temperature is brought down to the pre-set factory level for the fans to stop. Also, the fans are by no means quiet!

We do not advise you to swap over the connectors from the radiator fan to the A/C fan as that can cause damage. We recommend getting the car booked in to be checked and put on the VAS system.
