Rolls-Royce models built at Goodwood were originally offered with a choice of two chrome finishes, F1 chrome and Blue (Blau) chrome. Common questions we hear when a customer orders replacement chrome for their vehicle are, ‘does my car have F1 or Blue chrome?’ and ‘how do I tell the difference?’.

In most cases we can identify what was originally fitted with your chassis number, however a good rule of thumb is that the Blue chrome has a shiny finish, whereas the F1 chrome has a satin finish. Please see the pictures below for a comparison.

Blue Chrome: Shiny, glossy finish

F1 Chrome: Satin finish

Since the introduction of the Ghost, Wraith & Dawn, ‘Black badge’ editions have also been introduced which have a darker ‘smoked’ chrome finish. This was offered alongside an exterior black detailing pack which replaced the traditional chrome with gloss black trim.

In most cases we have a good selection of used mouldings in stock and can also supply brand new individual pieces.
