Question: After parking yesterday in my '93 Turbo R with 37k miles, we returned and weren't able to shift the transmission (first time ever with this problem). The "P" indicator was not highlighted in the center dash screen. We turned the car on and off again several times, with the same result. We then opened the fuse box, pulled out all the fuses related to gearbox/transmission/etc (all were fine), put them all back in, gave all fuses a slight "push" the ensure they were fully seated. Started it up again, and voila, the gear selection was back to normal! Since none of the fuses were blown, might you have any idea what could have caused this problem? Might some of the transmission solenoids be starting to go?

Answer: I have been speaking to our mechanic regarding the problem that you were having with the gear selection, below is the answer:
As removing and refitting the fuses worked I would assume that there as an issue with either the fuse itself of the connectors it fits in. Possibly the connectors had widened over time causing a bad connection.
I hope this has helped to shed some light on the problem.
