Question: The left side rear window lift on my Silver Cloud 3 is not working. All indications point to a non functioning motor. In attempting to remove it from the door I have referred to the shop manual which says to " unscrew the two 3/16 in. Allen screws which secure the pick up link to the window support channel;these srews are located behind the mechanism" . I cannot find these screws. Is it required th remove these screws to get the motor out? Or can I simply remove the nuts from the upper flexible mounting? Another question. What would be the approximate shipping cost for a motor to be shipped from you to my residence in Oregon, USA Shipping zip code 97045 ? Thank you for your help

Answer: Good afternoon, firstly we recommend you refer to Section S4 in the Workshop Manual TSD729 (also available to download for free from our website under part number TSD729DL) which will explain the removal and refit of the Electronic Window Lift. The 2 x Allen bolts attach the link (item 3) to the drop glass runner. Please feel free to call John Creasy who is our Technicial Adviser for any further assistance.
