Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit - FSD 784
Chassis: CH05905
Some cars you just can’t forget — and some you simply can’t resist buying back.
This week, we welcomed back an old friend: a 1982 Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit in Forest Green, with Magnolia leather interior and a presence that still turns heads over four decades on. We previously bought and sold this car last year, but when we saw it come up for sale again, we didn’t hesitate. With an upcoming video project calling for something at the right price point and just the right amount of charm, this Spirit was the perfect fit.
And really, who could blame us? It’s in excellent condition throughout — the paint still carries a deep shine, and the leather interior wears its years with dignity.
Introduced in 1980, the Silver Spirit marked a new chapter for Rolls-Royce. Built on a re-engineered platform shared with the Silver Spur, it brought a more modern silhouette to the marque, while retaining the traditional 6.75-litre V8 and the brand’s peerless ride quality. With its signature square-edged design and low waistline, the early Spirits have become increasingly desirable as interest grows in '80s and '90s luxury.
Ours is a lovely example of the first generation — smooth, refined, and still more than capable of reminding you what proper motoring feels like. It’s also a little piece of Flying Spares history now, having passed through our hands more than once.
For now, it’ll play a starring role in our video project — but once that’s wrapped, we’ll be offering it for sale again. So if you missed it the first time, keep your eyes peeled.
Some cars are just too good to say goodbye to forever. This one proves it.
