Mick’s running the London Marathon!

Michael Pawley — our very own dispatch manager, responsible for getting your orders out the door and where they need to be — is taking on 26.2 miles in London this year for a cause close to his heart: LOROS Hospice Charity. Every step is in honour of his father-in-law, his grandad, and his best mate’s dad — men who shaped his life and inspired him to give something back.

He’s been training hard. Officially following the London Marathon plan since January 5th, he’s been running four days a week, racking up 95 miles in January alone. Before that, he was running a couple of times a week, but January saw him really step it up. It’s not just the miles — it’s the commitment, the early mornings, the sore legs, and the sheer determination to cross that finish line.

Mick set out with a target of £1,000, and at the moment he’s already raised £730 — a brilliant start, but there’s still time to help him smash his goal.

LOROS provides vital hospice care and support to people with life-limiting illnesses across the East Midlands. Their work helps families make the most of every day, providing dignity, comfort, and compassionate care. Every penny Mick raises goes directly to supporting that mission.

So, whether you can spare a few pounds, or just want to cheer him on from the sidelines, this is your chance to be part of something meaningful. Mick is putting in the miles; let’s help him make every step count.
