Bentley Arnage - FSD 823

Chassis:  CH08560

Some cars make the decision for you.

This one doesn’t.

It leaves us in that slightly awkward middle ground — the place where logic and instinct don’t quite agree.

Because this is a Bentley Arnage. And not just any Arnage, either. Finished in Meteor Metallic — a colour you don’t see often, and one that does a remarkable job of elevating what is already a very substantial car. It shifts in the light, subtle one moment, properly imposing the next. The sort of paint that makes you look twice, even if you weren’t planning to.

Inside, it only gets better.

Cream leather — properly supple, still holding its shape, not dried out or collapsing into itself like so many do. The upper dash is trimmed in blue hide, with matching blue carpets below, giving the whole cabin a slightly more bespoke feel than the usual monochrome fare.

And then there’s the dashboard.

Not wood. Not the usual veneer.

Engine-turned aluminium — carried across the fascia and into the door caps. It’s unusual, deliberate, and exactly the sort of detail that makes this car feel just a bit more special than most.

Which is where the problem begins.

Because as a car, it makes a strong case for itself.

But mechanically, it’s not quite there.

It came to us after its previous owner had already tried — more than once — to get it back on the road. Each attempt uncovering a little more, each fix leading to another list, another cost, until eventually the sensible decision was made to step away and let us take over.

At the moment, it doesn’t go into gear at all.

It’s firmly stuck in park — which made getting it off the trailer less of a drive and more of a coordinated group effort involving careful persuasion and a fair amount of patience. Not ideal, and certainly not something that’s going to resolve itself without intervention.

Because here’s the reality.

We have people waiting.

Proper waiting lists. For Arnage parts. Wheels, door cards, engines — all the things this car could provide without much effort at all. And it hasn’t even been here long. The interest is immediate, and entirely understandable.

From a purely practical point of view, breaking it makes sense.

But it would also be a shame.

A real one.

Because this isn’t a worn-out, end-of-the-line example. It’s a car with presence, with rare details, and with just enough wrong with it to make it a project — not a lost cause. The kind of car that deserves the chance to be sorted, not stripped.

So this is the honest part.

If no one steps forward, it will be dismantled. It will make its way — one way or another — toward the ramp, and go on to keep a number of other Arnages alive and well.

There’s value in that. We won’t pretend otherwise.

But we’d much rather see it stay whole.

So if you’ve been looking for a rolling restoration — something a bit different, something worth the effort — this might be it. A Meteor Metallic Arnage with a rare interior, strong fundamentals, and a clear, if slightly complicated, path ahead.

The opportunity is there. It just needs someone to take it.

Price? That’s still to be decided.
Once we’ve had it through the workshop and given it a proper once-over, we’ll have a clearer picture of what’s going on underneath — and what it’s worth.
Until then, we’re open to sensible offers. Feel free to give us a call.
