YOUR GUIDE TO THE ANNUAL RALLY
This year, we are celebrating 100 years of Bentley Motors and the RREC has organised a breath-taking Bentley parade which will take place on Saturday 22nd June commencing at 2pm.
The Hawker Hurricane Fly Past
Keep your eyes peeled on Saturday 22nd June as we're expecting a visit overhead from a Hurricane!
The Hawker Hurricane is one of the classic fighters of all time, designed and built for war. It was at the forefront of Britain's defence in 1940 and it played a major part in achieving the victory of 1945.
10.30am - Do you have an article inside you?
Meet writers Tom Clarke and Malcolm Tucker, and Spirit & Speed Editor Richard Charnley, to
learn how to turn your ideas into articles.
11.30am - Man will travel, with bag of spanners
Nigel Sandell discusses working on Club cars around the world including Nigeria, Dubai, France, Germany and Spain.
12.30pm - RH Specialist Insurance
Emma Airey provides tips for ensuring your specialist vehicles are adequately covered.
1.30pm - Small Horsepower Workshop
Roger Cockfield and members of the East Midlands Section will host a two-hour hands-on workshop covering small horsepower models.
These seminars are free to attend and take place in the Seminars/Sunday Luncheon marquee.
A fantastic Play Bus will be present for our younger visitors, and activity bags will be available from the control desk in The Hunt House marquee.
Our live music this year is courtesy of The MPR Jazz Band on Saturday at 3.30pm, plus additional entertainment throughout the weekend from John Timms's Jazz Band as well the Yarwell and Nassington Britannia Brass Band.
RRBSA – Free Umbrellas
We are thrilled to inform members that the Rolls-Royce & Bentley Specialists Association (RRBSA) have very generously provided one free umbrella for every pre-booked entry.
Please take the voucher enclosed in your rally pack to any RRBSA member trade stand over the rally weekend to collect yours. Let’s hope they won’t needed during the weekend!
Help the environment at the Annual Rally
This year we are making every effort to make the event as eco-friendly as possible. All waste will be sorted and wherever possible will be recycled. ln order to reduce our plastic waste, drinking water taps will be situated at various points throughout the Trade area.
Caterers Emerson & Wests will also be offering members 20p off hot drinks when they use a reusable cup.
Visit Sir Henry Royce’s Final Resting Place
There will be a warm welcome to you again this year at Saint Andrews in Alwalton, where the ashes of Sir Henry Royce are interred. The postcode is PE17 3UU, Church Street, Alwalton, Peterborough.
Vintage Afternoon Tea
A Selection of Sandwiches, Home Made Fruit Scones with Jam and Clotted Cream, a Selection of Cocktail Desserts, French Style Macarons and Tea or Coffee.
£15.00 per person - 12.00pm onwards on both Saturday and Sunday
Champagne and Prosecco are available on the day.
