This is the Rubber Seal that sits along the rear edge of the bonnet (hood) Scuttle aperture.
On all Silver Shadow cars this sits on the rear scuttle edge of the engine compartment item UB31456 superseding to UB43421. From late Silver Shadow II, Silver Spirit and derivatives the seal ran along the rear edge and about 9” down the wing flange to aid water exclusion as per UB41267 again superseding to UB43421. In both cases on the rear scuttle, the engine compartment sound deadening can hold the seal up. When fitting a new seal please follow workshop manual instruction also making sure you lightly tap the seal down so it bottoms on the body flanges.

Bonnet seals - To remove
- Remove the seals from the rear and rear sides of the flange surrounding the engine compartment. if a knife or similar tool is used, care must be taken to avoid damaging the paintwork.
- Remove the small seals from the front and sides of the bonnet flange.
Bonnet seals - To fit
- Clean the seating area of the rear flange with Bostik Cleaner 6001; allow approximately 1 hour to dry.
- Apply Dunlop Adhesive S1127 to the seal and bonnet flanges, allow the adhesive to become 'tacky' before bringing the two surfaces together using maximum hand pressure.
- Press the small seals into position around the front and sides of the bonnet flange.

Shipping & Delivery
As an international mail order company, our focus is to get parts to our customers as quickly and economically as possible. Where possible we will try to provide a choice of shipping options.
Our database knows the weight of every part listed on our website. In the majority of cases this allows automatic shipping options for each order to be chosen at the checkout. Unfortunately, penalties will be imposed by all shipping companies if a parcel is particularly large in size compared to its weight, this is commonly known as “voluming out”. This means that sometimes we are unable to accurately quote shipping for orders until we have packed the parcel and confirmed the shipping cost.
Please be aware that import duties and taxes may apply in countries outside of the European Union. All duties and taxes are set by the Customs Authority of the destination country and, as such, we have no control over them. Please note that it will be the responsibility of the customer to pay all duties and taxes.
Our two most commonly used methods of shipment are by the postal service and UPS.
We do, however, hold accounts with most major international couriers so please let us know if you have a preferred courier or if you would like us to ship using an account you hold with a specific courier.
