Chassis Number References 2004 Onwards (Bentley Models)
In 2004, under the sole ownership of VW-Audi, the Crewe factory produced the first Bentley Continental GT. The standard 17 digit VIN system was continued with the first chassis number ending in 020001. Below is a breakdown of what the 17 digits in the VIN mean.
The VIN is shown in four places on each vehicle:
1. It is stamped onto the bodyshell in front of the right hand A pillar
2. It is on a plate attached to the left hand side of the windscreen surround (visible from outside the car).
3. On the manufacturers label attached to the left hand front door hinge pillar.
4. On a label attached to the spare wheel area in the boot.
