Introducing Richard Welch
As part of our continuing expansion and our commitment to investing in experience, we are absolutely delighted to welcome Richard Welch to the Flying Spares team.
Richard’s impressive career began in 1987 when he joined S.P. Broughton. Whilst at Broughtons, Richard gained extensive knowledge from a former instructor from the Rolls-Royce Training School in London and attended numerous factory courses at Crewe.
In 1995 Richard moved to South Africa to join a main dealership in Johannesburg, this experience gave him a valuable insight into the global operation of Rolls-Royce and Bentley. A return to the UK two years later to manage the Service Department of the new Broughtons facility in Birmingham, was followed by a move to the Rybrook group, as Aftersales Manager, coinciding with the launch of the Bentley Continental GT in 2004.
Commenting on his career and his new role at Flying Spares, Richard said; “I have been fortunate that my career has covered both traditionally built Crewe models, and the current modern Bentley range, giving me an unrivalled knowledge of these fine cars. After thirteen happy years at Bentley Cardiff, I am now particularly excited to be joining the well respected Flying Spares team, at this important stage of their development, and look forward to welcoming customers old and new.”
