Rolls-Royce Unveil Fully Electric Concept Car

Rolls-Royce have unveiled their first ever fully electric vehicle - a version of their Phantom model, labelled '102EX'. It boasts the largest car battery in the world, weighing a whopping 640kg and is capable of 125 miles between charges, with a top speed of 100mph. Charging the car takes between 8 and 20 hours and is completely wireless.

Some of the features of this new car include: a Spirit of Ecstasty mascot uplit in blue light and an exterior finished with 16 layers of 'ceramic nano particles'.

At the Geneva Motor Show Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös said, "The alternative drive-train we choose must deliver an authentic Rolls-Royce experience. It must be a technology that is right for our customers, our brand and which sets us on a sound footing for a sustainable future. That is why this project is so important.”

Time will tell whether Rolls-Royce customers see this is a viable alternative to their traditional, petrol-engined motor cars and whether Rolls-Royce will put this car into production.
